CCCI partners with NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE

CMC Research Institutes Inc. is partnering with the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE to enable teams in the $20 million global competition to use its state-of-the-art facilities and expertise to develop cutting-edge technologies that convert carbon dioxide greenhouse gases (GHGs) into high-value products. In October, NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE announced 27 teams representing six countries that would be advancing to Phase 2 of the Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) and NRG Energy competition. Under partnership terms, XPRIZE teams may access the CCCI-operated commercialization centre in B.C.’s Lower Mainland, which aims to accelerate development and scale-up to commercial use of innovations to capture and convert CO2 from industrial sources.
