NORAM Engineering and Constructors Ltd. are continuing to develop their VERTREAT™ Waste Water System at BCRI’s Technology Commercialization Centre. A 1/10 scale pilot plant was designed and installed at the Centre where a series of experiments have been conducted. This applied industrial project benefited from the assistance of UBC Engineering Co-op Students.
BCRI has been featured in APEGBC's Innovation magazine: 2013/2014 Project Highlights. Showcased is Dynamic Food Ingredients novel electrochemical pilot plant that produces a more cost-effective sweetener, Erythritol. The prototype cell was designed by NORAM Engineering and Constructors Ltd., assembled at BC Research Inc. and is now undergoing long term operation testing at Electrosynthesis Company.
Perfect Lithium Corp. (PLC) have recently moved into BCRI's Technology Commercialization and Innovation Centre. PLC is in the process of scaling up their innovative materials processing technology which is a simple and low-cost methodology for assembling advanced high performance nano composite materials. The technology has applications in a wide range of materials markets and Perfect Lithium is currently focused on cathode materials for lithium ion batteries(www.perfectlithi
